Frequently Asked Questions
At Filippos Tours Stanthorpe we value our customers and their feedback. We would love our loyal followers and prospective customers to help us build this page so we can provide the best, most helpful information regarding our tours and the Granite Belt. Some frequent questions are…
What wineries do you go to? At Filippos Tours we do not have set itineraries and love all the places on the Granite Belt. Our itineraries are planned to provide the best experience we can but being mindful of sustainability by minimising fuel useage.
Can we select what wineries we go to? You sure can on a Private Tour. On our group tours though, this can be a bit harder so we are happy to take requests and we will do our best to include them. Remember we plan our tours to provide the best experience we can but also being mindful of sustainability.
Can we choose the restaurant? We use a variety of restaurants which we personally recommend. The restaurant we book depends on the tour chosen and that it fits in nicely with the itinerary. On a Private Tour we will book the restaurant in consultation with our customers but on a group tour we are happy to take requests but cannot guarantee that request.
Can children join a group tour? We are a small family business with young children ourselves so we offer Private Tours for families but we do not allow under 18s on our mixed group tours.
Can we bring our own eskie? You can if it’s empty! Filippos Tours prides itself on providing high quality wine tasting tours. We do not operate ‘booze cruises’ . We are not licenced, so in Queensland it is illegal to consume liquor on a public passenger vehicle.
Can I bring my dog on a group tour? You sure can if it is a Private Group Tour that you wish to book. Please see our Bark & Barrels Tour for details.
What if I cancel my tour? No problems if you give us enough notice or do it for the welfare of others (such as coming down with the flu, etc). If you get a little bit excited the night before the tour and need a sleep in, you will not be given a refund, sorry.
What should I wear? We get excited about operating our wine tours and we would like our customers to get excited too. Treat it as a special day out, get dressed up and always bring a jacket, even in summer. And gentlemen, no thongs please! - all jokes aside, we recommend everyone, where possible, wear closed in shoes just in case you are lucky enough to be given a tour of one of the wineries!
